Support Flat Rock Playhouse

As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit professional theatre, Flat Rock Playhouse depends on tax deductible contributions from our generous patrons to support our productions and educational programs. 87% of charitable gifts from individuals either come from cash or check – mainly because it’s so easy. But in order for your gift to have a bigger impact and to be more tax-efficient for you, you may want to consider other giving charitable giving alternatives.

In addition to, tax-deductible cash gifts, there are other creative ways to give providing your and your family with significant tax benefits, including:

  • Gifts of stock or other assets

  • IRA Charitable Rollover: If you are currently 70.5 years old or older, you can donate up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified non profit, such as Flat Rock Playhouse, WITHOUT have to pay income taxes on that amount

  • Donor Advised Funds: Ideal for donors who don’t want the expense and administrative hassles of establishing a private foundation. These funds are tax deductible and usually established through foundations such as Community Foundation of Henderson County
