Where is Flat Rock Playhouse?

Our 468 seat Mainstage is located at 2661 Greenville Highway in Flat Rock, NC. Flat Rock Playhouse is located about half an hour south of Asheville, 30 minutes north of Greenville.
What are your Box Office Hours?

Box Office is open Monday – Friday from 10 AM – 5 PM and 90 min. prior to all show times. For more information, please email us at boxoffice@flatrockplayhouse.org.
Are all of your shows family friendly?

We bring a wide variety of exciting and magical productions to the stage for you here at the Playhouse. The themes and age appropriateness of each one varies by production. For specific information regarding the content of a given production, please call our Box Office at 828.693.0731.
Are discounts available?

Can my tickets be refunded or exchanged?

All tickets are non-refundable and can only be exchanged for a different date of the same production

Non-subscription tickets will be charged a $6 per ticket exchange fee for date/time changes, and require at least 48-hours notice prior to your currently scheduled performance.
I ordered online or over the phone, why did I have to pay a service fee?

There is a $4 per ticket service fee for all phone and internet orders.

These service fees help keep our Box Office running and pay for things like ticket-selling software, server maintenance, and employee labor. We do our best to keep these fees as low as possible.
I don’t want to pay this fee. How can I avoid it?

If you purchase in person at the Box Office window, we do not charge a service fee for single-ticket orders. However, subscriptions and group sales orders do have fees regardless of how you purchase the ticket, but they are reduced from what you would pay if you purchased the tickets individually.
Does Flat Rock Playhouse offer any hearing aid options?

We certainly do! We are proud to be able to offer a state-of-the-art system where people with hearing loss can enjoy their theatre experience as clearly as anyone else. Our Hearing Loop system provides wireless hearing aids, delivering clear, customized sound from inside your ears. We offer this service free of charge for our patrons. Are there dining facilities at Flat Rock Playhouse?

Yes, there are! Located in the Otto Courtyard we have a full concession shop which serves snacks, refreshments and alcoholic beverages. For full sit-down meals, check out the excellent options in downtown Flat Rock, just a few minutes’ walk from the theater!
Is there parking at Flat Rock Playhouse?

We have lots of parking right at the theater that we offer to our patrons for free! Upon entering the theater grounds for a show, you will be greeted and directed by our dedicated team of parking staff. Handicapped parking is available for patrons with appropriate passes. All parking areas are first come, first serve, so we recommend arriving early to secure a prime spot.
What is the dress code for Flat Rock Playhouse?

We welcome a range of attire choices. Dress is generally casual but feel free to dress up fancy if you feel inclined! You certainly won’t be the only one. We recommend bringing a sweater or a jacket as we keep the theater cool for the comfort of all present.

How will I get the tickets I purchased?

Flat Rock Playhouse has moved to mobile ticketing! Tickets will appear in your online account 7 days prior to each performance. Please locate your mobile ticket(s) by visiting your My Account portal.

Upon arrival, please have your mobile tickets on your screen or printed in hand as you enter the Mainstage venue. If using a mobile device, it is important to adjust the screen brightness to 100% for expedited scanning.

My dog loves listening to music, can I bring him/her?

Even though we love animals, they’re not allowed on property. We do, however, make an exception for trained service animals.
Does the Flat Rock Playhouse allow service animals?
-
Yes; service animals as defined by the American with Disabilities Act are welcome inside the theater and must remain on a leash, or in a harness, at all times. A service animal must sit under the guest’s seat, or at his/her feet, and is not permitted to sit in the aisle or on seats. A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other guests and/or staff may be asked to escort the animal off the premises.

Please note that emotional support, therapy, comfort, companion animals or service-animals-in-training are not considered service animals under the ADA.

If you intend to bring a service animal to an event, please notify the Box Office at the time of purchase so that we can help identify the most suitable seating location for you.
How might one apply for a job at Flat Rock Playhouse?

Actors: Flat Rock Playhouse operates under an Actors’ Equity Association C.O.R.S.T. – Z contract. Annual auditions are held in New York, the South Eastern Theatre Conference, and the Western Carolina Theatre League Unified auditions. Submit headshot and resume Casting@Flatrockplayhouse.org.
